Activities Lead

As an Activities lead, your role is to provide campers the opportunity to enjoy fantastic activities, either high adventure or aquatics, that help build memorable experiences that lead them one step closer to Jesus.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as a member of the leadership team

  • Lead all the adventure/rec and aquatics operations

  • Support and lead the ropes and aquatics coordinators, activity or adv/rec specialists, and lifeguards

  • Ensure the safety of all participants on all activities

  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all activity sites

  • Facilitate activities when needed

  • Facilitate and Oversee all theme events and games (dependent on camp center)

  • Oversee “turnovers”, i.e. cleaning and preparation of facilities between groups

  • Assist with general program functions, including serving meals, cleaning, parking, and more

Activities Specialist

  • Facilitate aerial challenge courses, zip line, and other adventure and aquatics activities with campers grades K-5th

  • Facilitate general recreation activities, including but not limited to target sports, field games, and crafts

  • Assist the program team in the nightly program events

  • Assist with all program functions, including serving meals, cleaning, parking, and more

Admin Lead

The Admin Lead provides an excellent guest experience on opening and closing days throughout the summer. In addition, it will support the camp director with various administrative responsibilities and oversight of the camp snack shack and store.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as a member of the leadership team

  • Work with the Camp Director to meet the varied needs of church leaders and parents

  • Organize and run the check in or guests on opening and closing day

  • Assist with scheduling and managing of Summer Staff time off requests

  • Answer and direct parent phone calls

  • Gather and file documents needed from campers and staff

  • Oversee and maintain the store and snack shack facilities, including managing the cash- handling and operations of the camp stores

  • Oversee “turnovers”, i.e. cleaning and preparation of facilities between groups

  • Assist with general program functions, including serving meals, cleaning, parking, and more

Adventure Coordinator

The Ropes Coordinator supervises activity specialists and counselors to ensure that all guests have an excellent experience at adventure activities. They will have the opportunity to help campers take one step closer to Jesus while conquering their fears.

  • Oversee the daily ropes course operations

  • Supervise staff while facilitating adventure elements
 
  • Ensure the safety of all participants on adventure activities

  • Maintain ropes venues and provide general upkeep and cleanliness of all adventure activities as well as camp property

  • Facilitate challenge course, zipline, and other adventure activities with guests of all ages

  • Facilitate general recreation activities such as target sports, disc golf, field games, etc.

  • Fill in as needed in other activity areas when ropes activities are not active

  • Safely instruct all adventure elements

  • Provide general upkeep and cleanliness of all activity sites as well as camp property

  • Assist the program team in the nightly program events (dependent on camp center)

  • Oversee the daily aquatics operations

  • Support and lead the Aquatics Specialists, and other staff while they are working aquatics activities

  • Assist the program team in the nightly program events

Aquatics Counselor

The Counselor / Aquatics role will live in a cabin with a group of campers, where they have the opportunity to build intentional relationships with each camper to help them experience and know the love of Jesus. They are responsible for leading group discussions, facilitating aquatics activities, providing a safe environment for their campers, and modeling a personal relationship with Jesus.

  • Live in the cabin with campers during their stay

  • Supervise campers, and provide loving discipline

  • Provide spiritual guidance and leadership for campers

  • Facilitate general recreation, arts and other activities

  • Participate in all activities with campers, including water sports, target sports, general recreation activities and more

Arts Coordinator

The Arts Coordinator helps to provide a unique experience where campers get to explore their creativity and express themselves through new activities. The coordinator will also implement and coordinate arts activities for campers who want to participate in any arts activities.

  • Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the art room

  • Provide instruction in arts activities for campers

Boat Driver

Boat Drivers create a memorable experience for campers to laugh, challenge themselves and enjoy God’s creation, while facilitating a fun and safe environment for campers to enjoy being on the water, experiencing nature, and tubing.

  • Responsible for the safety of all staff and guests on and around boating and cable park activities

  • Help facilitate campers’ experiences in wakeboarding, zup boarding, and recreational tubing

  • Ensure the safety of all participants on all activities

  • Inspect vehicles and equipment daily, and report issues promptly

  • Facilitate and lifeguard water activities with guests of all ages

  • Support the counseling staff emotionally and spiritually throughout the summer

  • Create meaningful relationships with campers

  • Provide a Godly example of selfless service

Health Aide

Health Aides have the unique role of caring for campers physically and sometimes emotionally while at camp. Health Aides dispense medications, assess injuries, and provide medical care while being supervised and coached by a licensed medical professional.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the intake and screening of campers upon arrival

  • Assist in the Camp Health Office alongside nurses and other camp Health Aides

  • Covers the Camp Health Office during the camp nurse’s time off or when a camper is isolated overnight 

  • Assist in the documentation of camper and staff visits, including signs and symptoms, and any treatment given/ recommended

  • Ensure all health areas are cared for and maintained with supplies stocked

  • Assist with transportation of campers and staff to health clinics or hospitals

Housekeeping Specialist

They will be paired with an individual camper to ensure their success in the inclusive camp program.

Lake Livingston Coordinator

The Lake Livingston Coordinator is responsible for providing a safe and exciting environment for campers to have a memorable time with their counselors and fellow campers while experiencing something new. Oversee the implementation of Creekside day trips to Lake Livingston, where campers participate in boat rides, swimming, and tubing.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitate all activities that take place at Lake Livingston (boating, tubing, games, etc.)
  • Supervise lifeguards and boat drivers while at Lake Livingston  
  • Ensure the safety of all staff and guests while at the Lake Livingston property 
  • Help facilitate campers’ experiences at Lake Livingston on land or while wakeboarding, and tubing 
  • Maintain cleanliness of boats, vehicles, equipment, docking areas, boat shed and bathrooms 
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment daily, and report any safety or maintenance issues promptly

Photographer

Photographers at Carolina Creek capture the daily life of campers and staff through the lens. Working with various equipment, photographers shoot, edit and publish photos daily for parents to see their campers experiencing camp. Photographers also work on specific shot lists and projects to equip Carolina Creek with strong imagery for marketing and social projects.

Production Specialist

Production Specialists serve as the lead technician for programs and events at Carolina Creek. This position facilities programs through the support of audio, video, and lighting resources in keynote services, chapels, and general AVL needs across their camp center.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide production support for services with lighting, video, and audio

  • Mic audio for live bands and stage performances with multiple cast members at a time

  • Create and execute session flows with lyrics, video elements and speaker slides in presentation software

Program Lead

The Program Lead has the unique opportunity to help campers experience and know the love of Jesus Christ through coordinating theatrical productions and worship experiences.

  • Serve as a member of the leadership team

  • Responsible for organizing the worship sessions (speakers, musicians, dramas, etc.)

Retail Specialist

The Retail Specialist is responsible for helping to maintain and run retail stores in order to create the opportunity for guests to enjoy a positive experience in the camp stores, which will be another memorable experience that may help lead them one step closer to Jesus.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support summer staff in properly using Point Of Sale stations, ensuring proper cash handling procedures, End of Day routines, exchanges, returns, etc.

  • Ensure all store locations have enough cash in their bags for day to day operations

  • Ensure stores are organized and clean by maintaining a cleaning schedule and a make-ready routine

  • Work with camp directors to ensure proper staffing for daily operations of stores and snack venues.

  • Work with the retail manager to ensure each location is stocked with the needed merchandise, food and drink

  • Maintain active inventory of the floor as well as inventory at each location

  • Transfer inventory from location to location as needed throughout the summer

  • Actively monitor overall stock for size, color, and item availability

Counselors in Training are responsible for assisting the Counselor in all daily tasks. They will help provide a safe environment for campers, while modeling a personal relationship with Jesus.

High School Students ages 16-17 are eligible.

Responsibilities include

  • Live in the cabin with campers during their stay
  • Help provide a safe environment for campers
  • Model a personal relationship with Jesus
  • Assist the Counselor in all aspects of daily camp activities, including but not limited to; serving meals, camper care, cleaning, and more
  • Participate in all activities with campers, including water sports, target sports, general recreation activities and more
  • Attend all required staff meetings and events
  • Actively engage and participate in the CIT program through a godly attitude, words and actions
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education

  • High School Students ages 16-17 are eligible

Experience

  • Some experience with children or youth is preferred
  • Prior job experience preferred
Camp Crew

The Camp Crew helps provide campers with a safe and fun environment, through serving in a support role for all activities. Responsible for helping create a space where they can take one-step close to Jesus, by trying new activities and facing their fears.

Camp Crew commits to 1-2 week terms with potential for renewal with discussion with supervisor.

  • Assist the program team in all aspects of daily camp activities, including but not limited to; serving meals, camper care, cleaning, and more
  • Participate in all activities with campers, including water sports, target sports, general recreation activities and more

  • Actively engage and participate in the Camp Crew program through a godly attitude, words and actions
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
