Work at Carolina Creek
Serving on Summer Staff at Carolina Creek could just be the best decision you’ll ever make. Whether you have a professional interest in camp ministry, children’s or youth ministry, adventure/recreation, or video/photography, or you just want to work hard, play hard, be stretched, love on kids and be part of a missional, close-knit community of Christ-followers, you are meant to be here.
All Carolina Creek Summer Staff share one mission, to help our campers know and experience the love of Jesus Christ. As you love on campers, we’ll love on you. You will be known and valued in this community and enjoy regular times of worship, teaching, prayer, being encouraged and challenged in your own faith journey and building life-long friendships.
Best decision ever. GO apply now. We’re eager to meet you.
FOUR GREAT LOCATIONS TO SERVE
The Wild is home to our youngest campers, grades K through 5. Counselors “live in” with the kids and get to enjoy all the fun activities that make this an unforgettable camp experience. Campers this age are eager to learn about Jesus and how to start and grow in their relationship with Him. We max out at 240 campers and about 75 summer staff. We’re also offering our first-ever family camp this summer.
Creekside is for campers grades 6 through 12. This high energy camp has large group sessions with skits, worship and teaching, with small groups for cabin discussion and co-ed groups for more interaction around the scriptural theme of the day. Students choose majors for their activity times, specializing in water sports, adventure, arts or a classic camp experience. Creekside maxes out at 288 campers and about 80 summer staff.
Almost every week, churches are in control of their own general sessions. This is a great option if you like the idea of being with campers all day, but prefer to have your own space to recharge at night. You’ll have the opportunity to lead campers in activities, process their experience and point out the teachable moments where God is speaking to them. We can handle up to 344 campers and about 42 summer staff.
Lastly, we are offering a new two-week program for high school students that will focus on cultivating an inner life of abiding with Christ and will include daily hours of service in the community, serving all three camps in routine duties such as cleaning and washing dishes. This will be a small, tight-knit staff serving about thirty campers at a time. If you like to go deep and aren’t afraid of work this might be for you.
